The work of the Spinal Cord Research Center has been supported by peer-reviewed grants obtained both from U.S. government agencies, including the National Institutes of Health, Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Army; private U.S. foundations such as the Paralyzed Veterans of America; the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association and the American Paralysis Association, and from international foundations, including the International Spinal Research Trust in the United Kingdom and the International Institute for Research in Paraplegia in Switzerland.
